Intuitively it feels like I can give myself goosebumps because I can change my perspective on the current temperature. I assume the normal autonomic goosebump reaction usually requires it to be colder than you are used to living in; for examle I would probably get natural goosebumps if I moved from Australia to Canada, but they would be less susceptible to their own temperatures. Maybe? Anyway, I sort of decide that I'm a little cool and once the shiver begins it forms this feedback loop whreby the presence of the shiver confirms that I should be shivering, and thus the next 'shiver' is easier to produce, and so on. I suspect that it would be much harder for me to produce this effect on a hot day. I think I have to be in a position where I an reasonably shift the internal thermostat a little in the direction of 'cool'."," It's like I'm eliciting a shiver by engaging in a sort of feedback loop. I start by paying attention to my neck and lower back. I don't have to feel for any sensation in the area, apart from temperature. Once I can decide that I'm a little bit cool (i I doubt I could do it on a hot day...but I've never tried) either the shiver will begin by itself or I'll need to expend a tiny amount of effort to start what feels like a cascading effect. By that I mean that upon initiating the shiver, I usually feel i in only in my lower back for a fraction of a second before it flows up to my neck and down my arms. Once this cascade begins, simply being aware of those sensations makes me feel colder, or that i *should* be getting goosebumps, and this magnifies th effect. Multiple iterations of this sequence produce a stronger, longer lasting effect, but it doesn't take many 'reps' for it to become somewhat self sustaining. I've had goosebumps for most of this questionnaire - it reached a point where they just ket 'refreshing' themselves. I'm not sure why this is possible though.","I think breathing in is the easiest way. If it doesn't happen on the first breath, I can close my eyes and take another breath to make it happen. If I get the slightest sense of the goosebumps, I just ""turn it up"" like a knob and it intensifies. Anotherway to do it is with a slight rolling of the shoulders. For the most part, it focuses on putting pressure near the origin point of the goosebumps. I roll my shoulders up and back and down and without any hands, put pressure on the neck. I often do this ayway when the goosebumps happen because it feels really good (but looks super weird in public) Using my hands is another way. This is not usually ideal but can be done. If another person stimulates the back of my neck, I usually get goosebumps. I think tis is the case for several people. However, I can also use my own hand and get a similar effect, although weaker than the two above. It can be used to start the feeling and then I can just focus and make it stronger, not needing the hand any more. The oter ways I usually think are cheating such as listening to music, cold air, peeing, and sad events. --- I'd like to mention another aspect that I'm not sure is relevant or not. So when I listen to music, it's very common to have much of the goosebump feeing. When the song builds up though, you can do the opposite and suppress the goosebumps from coming. This can be tricky but ends in you building up the feeling quite intensely. Sometimes, doing this for up to a minute can result in a crazy surge of amazigness. To me it is all about science and can be explained scientifically. Anyone who thinks it's magic, or god, etc. needs to understand it is all physical. Goosebumbs are a tell all sign that thereis a nerve discharge, Piloerection is the cause from the effect of stimuli. Goosebumbs come from stimuli of sorts such as cold or fear and it is said that they cannot be controlled because of the involuntary nervous system. This is true for automatic invountary piloerection that is caused by cold or fear, however once someone learns or becomes aware that they can will or create goosebumbs voluntarily do so by making the stimuli themselves bypassing the automatic sympathetic nervous system. The hard part i learning to control piloerection the easy part is supplying the stimuli yourself.","All I do is barely focus on giving myself willful stimuli, that is I control for a moment my own body and brains ability to pump stimulation into my nervous system. This can be achieved in many ways. I can make a weak response by just thinking about focuing energy. I can make very powerful responses which is accompanied by euphoria and a sense of strength and understanding. Even stronger responses come from asserting my will and thoughts. For example if I can elevate my mood and emotions I can make the simuli stronger making the response stronger. I can make it strongest when listening to music in a neutral state of mind, sometimes a few shots of brandy (hard liquor) can also help to elevate the mood and emotions. My process is simple, just focus on contolling my bodily stimuli that is there but needs to be dragged out. I voluntarily give myself goosebumbs by simply willing the emotions and stimuli that anyone would get naturally by feeling a certsin way. I generate mine naturally from years of practice need no thoughts or extra stimuli but when I was starting out I had to focus and concentrate on my feelings. For example the goosebumbs and the associated stimuli was strongest when thinking about my strong convictions. So it feels to me like being able to touch people, to get their attention. And if I focus on my goosebumps near animals, they always get close and sit on my lap.","Ok, I hope this doesn't sound weird, but it works like this for me. I look at a random point, and let my eyes try to see through or behind it, and my body feels almost empty within a second or two. Same as closing the eyes. Then I imagine the sound you mae when snipping your fingers, and immediatly after that, I imagine a flame burning from my feet up to my head in a spiral, about a meter in diameter, and when it reaches my head, I imagine making the flame bigger. Or I imagine wings of flame, forming frommy upper back. (strange, but only those imaginations work, or, this is the weirdest, when I say to myself in my head ""you are a god"", this makes also pretty strong goosebumps) I categorized the feelings in 5 levels of strength. The making empty brings me o level 1, the snipping to level 2, the flame to level 3, this is where I have to actually focus on the flame and goosebumps to make them stronger. It feels like little needls coming out of my skin, but in a good way. After the flame is constant, I imagin a thunderstrike coming down from the sky and hitting right into my head. Here I get to level 4, and if I shaved myself 1-2 days ago, the strength of the goosebumps actually hurt the skin on my face. And when I keep that up, and combine the flame and the ightning, the goosebumps get so intense that I can almost feel an electric current through my body, it feels like there could jump a spark any moment. When I do that for some time, like 2-5 minutes, my heart is racing like mad, I sweat pretty much, I fee tired and breath more heavy, and I can't turn it on again in an instant and have to wait a minute for it to recharge. If I use it up to level 3, I can reuse it instantly again. So it feels like and endless source of something, and the only thing that stos me from making it stronger seems to be some limits of my body. There is something else, when I started with the goosebumps, I could do it only sober.
