A novel chaotic transient search optimization algorithm for global optimization, real-world engineering problems and feature selection ****************************************************************************************************************************************** Authors: Osman ALTAY & Elif VAROL ALTAY ****************************************************************************************************************************************** All datasets and codes are available at zenodo: https://zenodo.org/record/7992380, DOI:10.5281/zenodo.7992380 All datasets and codes are available at GitHub:https://github.com/osmanaltay1905/Chaotic-transient-search-optimization-algorithm ****************************************************************************************************************************************** Public Datasets **************************************************************************** The Australian, ionosphere, spectheart, sonar, wine, heart, thyroid, tic-tac-toe, vehicle and krvskp data sets obtained from public data set sharing platform UCI are explained [53]. Australian Australian dataset concerns credit card applications. All attribute names and values have been changed to meaningless symbols to protect confidentiality of the data. This dataset is interesting because there is a good mix of attributes continuous, nominal with small numbers of values, and nominal with larger numbers of values. https://archive.ics.uci.edu/ml/datasets/Statlog+%28Australian+Credit+Approval%29 ionosphere Radar dataset was collected by a system in Goose Bay, Labrador. This system consists of a phased array of 16 high-frequency antennas with a total transmitted power on the order of 6.4 kilowatts. See the paper for more details. The targets were free electrons in the ionosphere. "Good" radar returns are those showing evidence of some type of structure in the ionosphere. "Bad" returns are those that do not; their signals pass through the ionosphere. https://archive.ics.uci.edu/ml/datasets/Ionosphere spectheart SPECT dataset is a public data set for testing ML algorithms; it has 267 instances that are descibed by 23 binary attributes https://archive.ics.uci.edu/ml/datasets/SPECT+Heart sonar Sonar dataset contains 111 patterns obtained by bouncing sonar signals off a metal cylinder at various angles and under various conditions. Each pattern is a set of 60 numbers in the range 0.0 to 1.0. The label associated with each record contains the letter "R" if the object is a rock and "M" if it is a mine (metal cylinder). The numbers in the labels are in increasing order of aspect angle, but they do not encode the angle directly. https://archive.ics.uci.edu/ml/datasets/Connectionist+Bench+%28Sonar%2C+Mines+vs.+Rocks%29 wine Wine dataset are the results of a chemical analysis of wines grown in the same region in Italy but derived from three different cultivars. The analysis determined the quantities of 13 constituents found in each of the three types of wines. https://archive.ics.uci.edu/ml/datasets/Wine heart There are 270 sample data in the heart data set. https://archive.ics.uci.edu/ml/datasets/Statlog+%28Heart%29 thyroid There are 7200 sample data and 21 attributes in the heart data set. https://archive.ics.uci.edu/ml/datasets/Thyroid+Disease tic-tac-toe There are 958 sample data and 9 attributes in the tic-tac-toe data set. https://archive.ics.uci.edu/ml/datasets/Tic-Tac-Toe+Endgame vehicle There are 946 sample data and 18 attributes in the tic-tac-toe data set. https://archive.ics.uci.edu/ml/datasets/Statlog+%28Vehicle+Silhouettes%29 krvskp There are 3196 sample data and 36 attributes in the tic-tac-toe data set. https://archive.ics.uci.edu/ml/datasets/Chess+%28King-Rook+vs.+King-Pawn%29
